Soft Launch is a Success!!

May 15, 2013, Jacksonville, Florida – dMeetings, an online diabetes health, wellness and education program officially launched their web series at the First Coast Worksite Wellness Conference in Jacksonville, Florida.  dMeetings is an innovative and  groundbreaking online program that is geared toward helping employers and healthcare professionals extend diabetes wellness and education programming to their patients and employees. Founder, Brad Bellingrath says a full scale roll-out of all available services is scheduled for October 1, 2013.

With 26 million currently diagnosed and over 70 million with pre-diabetes there is a growing need to help patients better manage their diabetes. Studies show better management leads to reduced health care costs and increased employee productivity.

According to a study conducted by the State of Texas, every $1 invested in patient diabetes management and wellness programming, employers and healthcare professionals can realize as much an $8.76 return. Ongoing training significantly curbs these costs and increases employee/patient productivity.

According to founder, Brad Bellingrath, “dmeetings is well positioned to help the diabetes community address these health care problems by offering diabetes education and wellness through an online program.

Our mission is to help participants to better manage their diabetes by focusing on positive patient outcomes anytime, anywhere, and on the go. dMeetings delivers a convenient, online wellness program that educates, encourages and motivates people living with diabetes.”

dMeetings interactive format of wellness and education programing allows its members to post questions fielded by program administrators and Certified Diabetes Educators as well as participate in web polls, not just view the content. The dMeetings team is available to communicate with participants relating to session content throughout the  duration of their membership. Email and text notifications of upcoming sessions and events on the website will be sent to participants on a routine basis. The entire program is available online for the member’s privacy and convenience.

Personal and group coaching is also available, though not an option in the basic membership. An expert from the dMeetings team delivers this feature via telephone. Participants may choose group or individual coaching depending upon membership level purchased.

Currently the program is available on demand where members will be able to access the sessions from anywhere, at any time via the Internet. Some of the many topics covered will be:

Nutrition, Physical Activity, Blood Glucose Monitoring, Healthy Coping – Goal Setting, Coping with Slips and Lapses, Stress Reduction in Practice, Advanced Carb Counting, and Traveling with Diabetes.

Participants may submit specific questions and receive relevant answers via email.  Future plans call for live “Lunch and Learn” sessions where participants can participate in web polls, ask questions and get answers in real time.

With dMeetings, diabetes patients and healthcare professionals now have a solid and comprehensive recourse to utilize in addressing the significant problem of better diabetes management in the US today.
